"Big Band Syndicate" or BBS is the all-star band brought to life by Darwin Hernandez of Soupstar Entertainment and Rye Sarmiento of 6cyclemind. The idea was to handpick musicians who fit the profile to play their songs. Given the crazy schedules in the band scene, this was not an easy task, but their first album, "Ctrl+Alt+Delete+Restart," managed to bring together some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Music industry heavyweights who had a hand in the first album include Raimund Marasigan of Sandwich in drums and keyboards and Buddy Zabala of The Dawn in bass for "Payong Kapatid," Jay Durias of South Border in keyboards and vocals for "Pawiin," among others. Kean Cipriano of Callalily, meantime, took over the lead vocals for all songs.
"Ako yung naging instrumento nila para matawid yung mga kanta nila na sinulat kaya ang sarap ng pakiramdam," Kean shared.
Watch the rest of our exclusive interview with Kean Cipriano where he talks about the motivation behind BBS and the big concert, "One Stage. One Night," happening this coming November 26 at the Aliw Theater.
