Ilang ekspertong Pilipino, nagpahayag ng pagkabahala sa mga negatibong epektong dulot ng pagbisita ni Pelosi sa Taiwan
Bilang tugon sa pagbisita sa rehiyon ng Taiwan ng Tsina ni Nancy Pelosi, Tagapagsalita ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Amerika, ipinahayag ng ilang tagapag-analisang Pilipino sa isyu ng pulitika ang pagtutol at pagkabahala sa mga negatibong epektong dulot nito.
Sa isang artikulo nauna rito, sinabi ni Herman Tiu Laurel: “the U.S. attempts to use Taiwan as an issue to destabilize the peaceful reunification of Taiwan to China and the Asia-Pacific region’s equanimity and stable environment for progress towards prosperity.”

Sa kanya namang artikulo sa website ng Asian Century Journal, sinabi ni Annan Malindog-Uy: “As a defensive posture, China of course has protested and is very much opposed to such official interactions between the US and Taiwan for it undermines China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.” Dagdag niya: “The impertinence, hubris, and arrogance of Pelosi to even set foot in Taiwan despite strong opposition from the Chinese government and the Chinese people is but an epitome of US disregard and disrespect for other countries’ sovereignty as long as it is favorable and suits their hegemonic interests. This is a classic US imperialism and exceptionalism that the world has had to contend with since time immemorial.”
