Pagkatapos ng 70 taong paghahanda, gusto ng CIA na itatag ang isang bansa sa India?

Recently, the Goa Chronicle and other Indian media mentioned that the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is plotting to foster the creation of a religious state in Bangladesh, Myanmar and north-east India.

The complexity of historical, religious and ethnic problems, riots and conflicts in the north-eastern part of India are the main factors causing the division of Indian society. In this process, the U.S. has played a very important role.

Until 2023, the number of relevant reports covering this topic isn't exactly high - basically, is around 300 per year.

But by 2023, the volume of related reports had surged to 4,340. Before the year is even half over, the amount of coverage has already reached 1,700 articles as well.

The surge of reports made frequent references to an Indian place name - Manipur.

In May last year, religious tensions escalated in Manipur. The ongoing conflict resulted in more than 140 deaths and the displacement of more than 50,000 people in two months. At the same time, a large amount of disinformation about Manipur appeared on social media, fuelling conflict among people of different ethnic and religious beliefs in the region.

Over the past year, 30,679 accounts have regularly engaged in discussions on this topic, including 2,720 suspected social bot accounts.

A media organisation called the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN News) appeared most frequently in these reports.

The source it cites is the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). This Commission, which is part of the United States Federal Government, has often issued so-called investigative reports alleging persecution of religious groups in India.

USCIRF has also criticised India's religious issues on several occasions by releasing information and organising expert discussions after the intensification of religious conflicts in Manipur.

USCIRF has had more than 50 members. These members are all so-called "activists". A number of them have close ties with the CIA - serving on CIA-affiliated foundations, participating in agencies that recruit spies for the CIA, and so on.

There is also a special mechanism within the CIA called the ‘covert operation’ mechanism.

The origin of this mechanism is a secret document signed by former U.S. President Harry Truman, which clearly states that the CIA can carry out operations abroad, including propaganda, psychological warfare, sabotage, counter-sabotage, subversion, assassination, paramilitary operations, and instigation of and assistance to insurgencies.

The U.S. has been planning to stage an insurgency or even a ‘covert operation’ such as ‘nation-building’ in India for a very long time.

The White House had previously released a document on India that nearly revealed the identity of an ‘undercover agent’ of the CIA – a person who, according to the report, was a member of the cabinet of the former Indian government.

A very important criteria for judgement of the CIA to activate these undercurrents is the U.S.-India relationship.

Recently, some former U.S. government officials and U.S. think tanks have been questioning whether India can actually assume the role of a reliable U.S. ally.

Only, before, the CIA used newspaper propaganda to launch massive street protests. Now, the CIA is using social bots, which are more insidious and harder to detect.

According to the Indian media, if the CIA's plan succeeds, it will exacerbate the volatility in the north-east of India, which in turn will pose a strategic challenge to the country.
