Vice Mayor ng Villaba, binaril, patay
BINARIL at napatay si Vice Mayor Claudio Martin Larrazabal sa labas ng isang restaurant at bar na kanyang pag-aari kaninang bago nag-alas dose ng tanghali.
Ayon sa mga balitang lumabas sa media, mga lalaking nakamotorsiklo ang bumaril sa biktima.
Sinabi ni Mayor Jorge Veloso na inatasan na niya ang pulisya na magsiyasat at dakpin ang mga suspect. Dating punongbayan ng Villaba si Larrazabal sa loob ng siyam na taon bago tumakbo sa pagka vice mayor noong 2013 elections.
Idinagdag ng punongbayan na patungo ang biktima sa kanyang restaurant ng dalawang lalaking sakay ng motorsiklo ang tumigil malapit sa kinaroroonan ng biktima at pinaputukan ng ilang ulit. Tumakas kaagad ang dalawang lalaki patungo sa direksyon ng Palompon. Isinugod ang biktima sa isang pagamutan sa Villaba bago dinala sa Ormoc Sugarcane Planters Association Medical Center, may 40 kilometro mula sa Villaba. Deklaradong dead-on-arrival ang biktima mga ala-una ng hapon.
Pinsan ni dating Commission on Elections Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal ang biktima.
The Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, will visit the Philippines tomorrow, November 17, with a delegation of about 111. He will be traveling with his wife, Mrs. Sare Davutoğlu.
This is PM Davutoğlu's first visit to the Philippines as Prime Minister, although he has visited the country in the past when he was an Associate Professor in Malaysia.
From the ceremonial wreath-laying at the Rizal Monument in Rizal Park, Prime Minister Davutoğlu and core members of his delegation will proceed to the Malacañan Palace for a meeting with President Benigno S. Aquino III to discuss bilateral, regional and international matters. An official luncheon will be hosted by the President in the Prime Minister's honor.
The Prime Minister will be visiting a school in Manila where a donation of computers will be made. He is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the Department of Foreign Affairs on Turkish Foreign Policy.
Turkey has taken great interest in the Philippine Peace Process with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, through its participation as member in the International Contact Group and as Chair of the newly-formed Independent Decommissioning Body. It is also a member of the Peace Committee for Southern Philippines formed by the Organization of the Islamic Conference that facilitates the review of the 1996 Peace Agreement with the Moro National Liberation Front.
